The first step is to remove all of these metabolites in the body
DETOXIFICATION-THE FIRST STEP:
The first step is to remove all of these metabolites in the body. ...... The usage of high doses of niacin and saunas to eliminate use of these metabolites must be the first step. It must indeed begin with'' cleansing'' the person.
Dietary supplements ..... are essential. In the detoxification program using the sauna, it is recommended for some time taking single nutrients, which are valuable allies in treatment. Everyone knows that a person undertaking a detox program is quite malnourished. We have carried out extensive studies on the serum levels of vitamins and nutrients in drug addicts and we found that they were suffering from malnutrition marked.
THE IMPORTANCE OF PROPER DETOXIFICATION:
We would like to say a few words about some serious complications that we see today in order to further emphasize the importance of appropriate detoxification, or if you prefer a program of'' cleansing'' or withdrawal . It is essential to remove the metabolites from the body. We know of three fundamental effects of drugs on the immune system: cortisone deficiency, leukocyte suppression and abnormal proteins. Leukocytes are white blood cells that circulate in the body and kill viruses like AIDS. However, the metabolites have a very negative effect on the immune system.
Metabolites, as well as the drug itself, are another possible effect: they damage the receptors, and this is where things get tricky really. Once the receptors have been sufficiently damaged, we know that no one may succeed in recovering normal mental or physical health. I do not have enough time to explain all the syndromes arising, but they are varied: from diabetes to schizophrenia and adrenal insufficiency without forgetting impaired memory and motivation, symptoms that resemble closely those of Alzheimer's disease. These syndromes may look like Benin or very severe.
There is another aspect that few people know but whose repercussions are serious. We know that the metabolites of cocaine and amphetamine, and perhaps those of phencyclidine and marijuana, cause constriction of blood vessels, or a significant reduction of blood flow in the vessels so that the brain or the heart is no longer sufficiently irrigated.
Why do I mention this? In recent years, there has been an epidemic of babies addicted to crack cocaine (crack), heart attack and stroke that is attributable to the constriction of blood vessels. The blood can not carry glucose or oxygen, causing tissue death.
The last complication that I want to address is the immune suppression and infectious diseases that plague the drug. You all know AIDS. But it is interesting to note that among the intravenous drug users in California, only about 1% have AIDS, and we do not know why. However, the rate of infection with hepatitis C is about 92 or 95%. Hepatitis C has become a scourge among intravenous drug users in California, and it seems that the majority of them will die of complications of this disease.
Most deaths occur around the age of 48 to 55, usually 30 or 35 years of infection. If they have shared needles only two, three or four times, they are probably infected with hepatitis C for which there is no vaccine or treatment.
The Hepatitis C is spread the same way as AIDS, mainly through blood contact. It spreads to some extent by sexual contact and by congenital transmission. It also seems that it can not spread slowly to other routes as a result of a contact, such as saliva or air. We know that 20-25% of alcoholics are infected with hepatitis C, but we do not know how they were contaminated.
Forty percent of hepatitis C cases in California have no risk factor as blood transfusions, administration of intravenous drugs or sexual contact with the virus. We do know that drug addicts who use intravenous drugs are reservoirs of hepatitis C, which gives a dimension to the problem which we have never had to consider so far. Throughout California, the presence of these infections is very troubling, and we do not know where we stand.
